关于痞子阿姆
底特律城是主演艾米纳姆——“痞子阿姆”成长的地方。因此，影片可以说是艾米纳姆的半个人体自传。作为一个白人，闯入hip-hop的世界且后来成为其中的风云人物确实让人有点儿不可思议。艾米纳姆原名Marshall Mather，生于堪萨斯，随后的童年时代一直在底特律和堪萨斯城之间搬来搬去，12岁时随母亲在底特律东部定居。阿姆的童年被剥夺了所有的快乐——不停地转校，领着社会救济金，没有什么朋友，还不时地遭受恶少们的欺凌。于是，音乐成为了艾米纳姆最好的心理治疗。他从高中时便开始表演说唱，阿姆的首张《The Slim Shady LP》一下子吸引了大家的眼球。
传奇RAP乐艺术家兼制作人德瑞博士(Dr.Dre)在洛杉矶电台听到了艾米纳姆自由风格(freestyle)的演唱，对其印象深刻，立即寻找这位来自密歇根的年轻人。不久，德瑞聘请阿姆加盟他的Aftermath公司，于是阿姆开始了与这位“最伟大的hip-hop音乐制作人”的合作。此后，阿姆的事业一步登天，《Slim Shady》和《Marshall Mathers LP》都卖了几百万张；后者更是获多项格莱美奖提名，包括年度最佳专辑。这虽然得力于恩师德瑞博士的帮助，但无论是在作词还是曲目编排上，阿姆自己的个人功力都不可小看。
与此同时，充满性、毒品与暴力的歌词，放荡的个人生活，愤世疾俗无所不骂的人生态度，与母亲反目成仇的关系以及与妻子的分分和和……所有这些都使阿姆成为了万人瞩目与争议的焦点。这个自命“世界上最卑劣的人”，痛恨在贫穷中成长，痛恨在破碎的家庭中被抚育，痛恨一直无法摆脱的种族偏见。阿姆所得罪的人遍地都是，但他的支持者们仍称他为"Great White Hope"。
影片中则包括《Lose Yourself》等3首艾米纳姆的新歌，还有来自Jay-Z, Nas, Rakim, 50 Cent, Xzibit, D12等的最新音乐。艾米纳姆与德瑞博士合作完成了影片的音乐与电影原声大碟。
